Learn to Swim Week is an inaugural awareness week aimed at educating parents on the importance of teaching kids aged under five to swim. It’s also about reminding everyone about the importance of water safety.
The aim of Learn to Swim Week is to give every child in Australia and New Zealand aged under five the opportunity to learn to swim !
Worldwide, drowning is the number one cause of accidental death in children under 5 years of age. In Australia, one person on average, drowns every week. Teaching a child to swim early is the best prevention.
During Learn2Swim Week, free swim lessons are offered to children aged under five at participating swim schools across the country.
Windy Hill Swim School is supporting Learn to Swim Week by providing a free swim lesson to all children aged under five between Monday 25 September and Sunday 1 October. Bookings are essential - to book in for you free swim lessons please call the centre on 9377 1555 or email us by clicking here.
